These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of www.4belectric.com (the "Site"), our chat assistant, and our text messaging program, operated by 4B Electric Incorporated ("4B Electric," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the Site or any of these services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. About 4B Electric

4B Electric Incorporated is a Texas electrical contractor, Texas Electrical Contractor License TECL #37044, located at 2073 FM 920, Weatherford, TX 76086. All electrical work is performed under our license by licensed electricians. Regulated by The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, P.O. Box 12157, Austin, Texas 78711, 1-800-803-9202, 512-463-6599; website: www.tdlr.texas.gov.

2. Using the Site

You may use the Site for lawful, personal, or business purposes related to learning about and requesting our services. You agree not to:

•      Submit false information or requests on behalf of another person without their permission

•      Interfere with the Site's security or operation, or introduce viruses or harmful code

•      Scrape, copy, or collect content or data from the Site using automated tools

•      Use the Site, forms, or chat to send spam, harassment, or unlawful content

3. Site Information Is General, Not Professional Advice

Articles, FAQs, chat answers, and other content on the Site are general information. They are not an electrical diagnosis, a safety inspection, or a substitute for a licensed electrician evaluating your property in person. Electrical work is dangerous and, in Texas, must be performed by licensed individuals through a licensed electrical contractor. If you see sparking, smell burning, or find downed power lines, leave the area and call 911 or your electric utility immediately. Our Site, forms, and chat are not monitored around the clock and are not an emergency service.

4. Estimates, Scheduling, and Work

•      Submitting a form, booking online, or chatting with us is a request for service, not a contract. A visit is confirmed only when we confirm it.

•      Estimates are free. We provide the scope and price in writing before work starts. Any work we perform is governed by the written proposal, estimate, or contract you approve, and those documents control over anything on the Site.

•      Prices, timelines, and availability mentioned on the Site or by the chat assistant are general and are not binding until confirmed in writing by our team.

•      Where a permit is required, we pull it and coordinate the inspection. Some work also requires coordination with your electric utility, whose schedule we do not control.

5. Warranty

Our workmanship warranty is described in your written proposal or invoice and applies according to those terms. [CONFIRM WITH JOSH: two-year workmanship warranty covering parts, labor, or both.] Manufacturer warranties on equipment, such as generators, panels, and chargers, are provided by the manufacturer. Nothing on the Site creates an additional warranty.

6. Communications

By giving us your contact information, you agree that we may contact you by phone or email about your request, appointment, project, or account. We will only send text messages as described in Section 7 and only with your consent. We will only send marketing emails if you have done business with us or asked to hear from us, and every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.

7. SMS Messaging Terms

7.1 Program Description

4B Electric Incorporated ("4B Electric") offers text messages to customers and people who request information, estimates, or service from us. There are two kinds of messages, and you choose each one separately:

•      Service messages (non-marketing): appointment scheduling and confirmations, reminders, technician arrival updates, estimate and proposal follow-up, job status updates, invoices and payment reminders, and a request for feedback after your job.

•      Marketing messages: seasonal service reminders (for example, generator maintenance or storm season surge protection), special offers, and service updates.

Signing up for one kind does not sign you up for the other. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any service from us, and you can request service, submit a form, or book a visit without agreeing to texts.

7.2 How You Opt In

You opt in by checking the text message consent box on a form, booking page, or chat on our Site, by texting us first, or by giving a member of our team verbal or written permission. The boxes on our Site are never checked for you in advance.

7.3 Message Frequency

As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. Service message frequency varies and depends on your appointment or project. You will receive no more than [4] marketing messages per month. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.

7.4 How to Opt Out

You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text "STOP" in reply to any message from us. We also honor STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT, REVOKE, and OPT OUT, and any other reasonable request, including telling our office by phone or email. After you send the SMS message "STOP" to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. We process opt-out requests made any other way promptly, and no later than 10 business days. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.

7.5 Help

7.6 Carrier Liability

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

7.7 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and the account holder of the mobile number you provide, or have the account holder's permission, to join. If you change or give up your mobile number, please text STOP from that number or let us know so we do not text the new owner.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

8. Chat Assistant

The chat on our Site is an automated assistant that may use artificial intelligence. It can answer common questions and collect details for our team, but it can make mistakes and cannot diagnose electrical problems, give safety advice, or commit us to prices or schedules. Please do not share payment card numbers, Social Security numbers, passwords, or medical information in the chat. Our Chat Assistant Notice explains more.

9. Photos, Reviews, and Submissions

If you send us photos, plans, or other materials, you confirm you have the right to share them, and you allow us to use them to evaluate and perform your project. We will ask your permission before publishing photos of your property that show identifying details. If you post a review or testimonial about us, you allow us to share it on our Site and social media with your first name and last initial.

10. Our Content

The Site's text, photos, graphics, and logo are owned by 4B Electric Incorporated or used with permission, and are protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may view and print pages for your own use, but you may not copy, modify, or republish our content without written permission.

11. Other Websites and Services

The Site may link to or embed third-party services, such as maps, social media, review sites, financing providers, and manufacturers. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, terms, or privacy practices.

12. Disclaimer

The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent allowed by law, we make no warranties about the Site, including that it will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, or free of errors or viruses. This disclaimer applies to the Site only. It does not change any warranty in a written proposal, invoice, or contract for work we perform.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the extent allowed by law, 4B Electric Incorporated is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site, chat, or text messages. This section does not limit our obligations under a written contract for electrical work or any rights you have under Texas law that cannot be waived.

14. Your Responsibility

You agree to be responsible for, and to reimburse 4B Electric Incorporated for, claims and costs that result from your misuse of the Site or your violation of these Terms.

15. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any legal action related to the Site or these Terms will be brought in the state or federal courts located in or serving Parker County, Texas. Before filing any claim, we ask that you contact us so we can try to resolve the issue directly.

16. Changes and General Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, and the effective date above shows the latest version. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept them. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement about your use of the Site. Your agreement with us for electrical work is the written proposal or contract for that work.
