It depends on the size of the service, the condition of the meter base, the distance from the meter to the panel, and what the utility requires. We look in person and give you a written number.
We stop and tell you what we found, what it means, and what it costs before doing anything beyond the original job.
Confirm pricing approach, for example a set price per job on written estimates]
Inside most city limits, yes, for anything beyond simple repairs and device swaps. Outside city limits the rules are different, and the utility may have its own requirements for a new service. We know which applies and we handle it.
Once, maybe. A breaker that trips again and again is telling you something is wrong on that circuit. Resetting it over and over can overheat wiring. Call us to find the cause.
Many residential panel swaps are finished in a day, with the power off for part of it. Service upgrades that need the utility take longer to schedule.
Yes. Most of our residential work happens in occupied homes. We plan power shutoffs with you ahead of time and keep them as short as we can.
Book a safety inspection. We check the panel, grounding, wiring type, and devices, then tell you what needs attention now, what can wait, and what is fine.
It depends on what you want running during an outage and how your home is heated and cooled. We do a load calculation first so you buy the right size unit, not the biggest one.
Many can. Some need a larger service or a load management device. We check the panel and run the load calculation before you buy anything.
For most homes, yes. It helps protect appliances, electronics, and HVAC equipment from voltage spikes, and it is easy to add during other panel work.
Yes. Send us the report and we will tell you what actually needs correcting and what it costs.
Send the plans and the bid date through the bid request form on our Commercial page, or email [email protected]. We confirm receipt and tell you whether we are bidding.
